French Steel FAQs

Are French Steel doors prone to rust?

Steel door finishes and the hand-applied hot zinc spray, applied before the finish, protect the steel from rust. A clear exterior coat helps protect against the elements to preserve the final finish. The French Steel Company offers a one-year warranty on faux finishes. Black finishes have a 1- to 10-year warranty depending on the application.

Where can I find examples of French Steel's finished doors?

We have a wide variety of doors available for purchase. We offer standard and custom doors so that customers can find the perfect door for their needs. Check out our gallery of finished projects for more examples.

What are the benefits of steel versus aluminum?
