    Wine Tasting Table FAQs

What are wine tasting tables used for?

Tasting tables for wine are a smart storage and prep solution that doubles as a place to open, decant, and enjoy wine. Wine tasting tables give you a flat, sturdy surface to serve hors d’oeuvres and charcuterie boards.

They’re the perfect way to create a natural gathering space within a larger cellar or tasting room. Use tasting tables in your home cellar to host wine tastings with friends, or set up multiple tasting tables at your retail wine shop for customer sampling and curated food pairings.

Can I use tasting tables in a wine cellar?

Absolutely, our wine tasting tables are built with durable wood and finished in stains designed to withstand cellar conditions. Wood wine tasting tables make a great centerpiece when paired with barstools or chairs—perfect for relaxed tastings or intimate wine nights.

If you wish to create a larger wine tasting tabletop for serving meals, our single- and double-deep wood wine tasting tables can accommodate a custom-made tabletop.

Can I customize my wine tasting table?

Yes, our wooden wine tasting tables are available in four beautiful wood species and five rich stain options. Whether you’re going for a rustic look with unstained pine wood or looking for something elegant—like grand mahogany with a walnut stain—we can help you create exactly the look you want to match your existing decor or achieve your desired aesthetic.

Our tasting tables are designed to work with many of our other products. If you’re looking for something specific, like a tasting table with wine stemware racks or an arched wine tasting table, get in touch with our helpful team. We’ll help you find exactly what you’re looking for.

What’s the difference between single- and double-deep tasting tables?

Single-deep tasting tables for wine are one bottle deep and work well in tight or narrow spaces. Add your own wider tabletop and you’ve got a simple bar or prep area for opening bottles.

Double-deep tables, on the other hand, offer twice the storage and a wider top—ideal for serving appetizers, pouring wine, or even creating a casual dining spot. They’re perfect for entertaining guests or simply elevating the look and function of your wine space.

All our wine tasting tables can accommodate a custom-designed tabletop, so you can create exactly what you want.

Do wine tasting tables come with a top, or do I need to add my own?

Most tables in our collection come with a top that matches the rack width. If you want more surface space for serving trays, charcuterie, or dining, you can easily add your own tabletop.

How do I care for my wooden wine tasting table?

Keep your table looking beautiful with regular dusting using a soft cloth or feather duster. Wipe up any spills right away to avoid stains and use coasters or mats under glasses and tools. Keep your tasting table away from windows to avoid sun fading and to protect your wine from UV radiation.

Clean occasionally only with wood-safe cleaner. Always wipe in the direction of the grain and dry thoroughly after cleaning to avoid damage. Avoid harsh chemicals, which can strip the finish or discolor the wood.

How tall are the tasting tables?

Most of our tasting tables stand around 36” tall, which is just right for standing tastings or seated tastings with bar-height stools or chairs. Our tasting tables are the same height as a typical kitchen counter, so it feels natural for prepping, pouring, or entertaining. Be sure to check the product page for exact dimensions of our wine tasting table islands.

Are the tasting tables easy to assemble?

Yes, our tasting tables are easy for DIYers or contractors to assemble. Each table arrives with hardware and step-by-step assembly instructions. All you need is basic tools. If you run into any issues during the assembly process, don’t hesitate to contact us.

What materials and finishes are available?

Our wine tasting tables are available in four distinct, responsibly sourced wood species and five eye-catching stain options, allowing you to customize your table to match your cellar style and functionality.

    • Ponderosa Pine: A clear, furniture-grade softwood sourced from the Pacific Northwest, known for its smooth grain and outstanding quality.
    • Knotty Alder: A durable, character-rich hardwood grown in the USA. It’s easy to work with and stains beautifully.
    • Premium Redwood: Naturally mildew-resistant and native to the North American coast, this wood offers unmatched beauty in cellar environments.
    • Grand Mahogany: A straight-grained, sustainably farmed hardwood from South America, with a warm color range from pink to light brown.

Choose from oak, cherry, walnut, black, or greywash stain options. Our water-based, low-VOC proprietary formula is designed to enhance the natural grain of the wood and, unlike oil-based stains, our formula does not produce harsh fumes that compromise your wine’s integrity.
