Like with a lot of things, everything needs a proper home. For Nick Madden, his passion for wine inspired him to create a Harrisburg, PA custom built wine cellar that was not only beautiful but functional for proper storage. He envisioned a wine room that would be visible from the surrounding areas and seamlessly integrated with the functional entertainment space.
He started this venture by connecting with our Cellar Design Experts to discuss his goal, wants and needs and overall budget. Madden knew that the design of the space was essential to fit the overall vibe of the surrounding space. For Madden, this custom Harrisbug wine cellar had not yet been built which allowed him and our design team to work with a blank canvas. Discussing this with our cellar design experts that he had no particular design ideas but preferred a more traditional storage set up, they helped him choose the right materials and flow of the wine room to get it designed functionally and beautifully.
With the room being 15 ft deep and 8 ft wide, Madden and team were able to create a stunning wine room with a storage system that holds up to 1,504 bottles! The room features Display Row racks, High-Reveal Combo racks, Magnum and Turley bottle racks, Corner Racks, and an arch combo. The system was finished off with molding to really create a finished, polished look. This wine room is maintained at optimal storage temperatures using a Wine Guardian D050 ½ Ton Cooling System, efficiently cooling its 900 cubic feet of space.
Madden’s space featured moody lighting that highlighted the beautiful stone walls and the grand glass enclosure leading to his wine room. The wine storage, crafted from natural Redwood, provided a striking contrast to the stone and the overall cave-like ambiance. Working alongside our cellar design experts and a Hollidaysburg, PA local contractor, Mitch Grace General Contracting, Madden was able to have a seamless, enjoyable experience creating his dream wine cellar for his treasured wine collection.
