Description

Designed for wine cellars up to 2,000 cubic feet and for internal or external applications. Split systems allow noise from condensing units to be placed away from living areas so you can forget it’s there. An additional benefit of a split system is separate evaporator and condensing units, removing the need for holes in your cellar walls.

Important Notes

Only a few small openings for the line-set and drain line are required to connect the evaporator and condensing units. Inside the cellar, the evaporator unit is designed to mount on the wall near the top of the wine cellar. Outside the cellar, the condensing unit is attached to the evaporator unit by a line-set (sold separately) that can run up to 100 equivalent feet (and up to 30 vertical feet).

External installations require our outdoor hood (sold separately). For exposure to environments below 40°F, our compressor heater modification is required. Access to the left and right side of the evaporator unit is required for installation. All split systems must be installed and charged on site by a qualified HVAC professional. Line-set equivalent feet must be calculated in accordance with ASHRAE guidelines; refer to our Line Sizing Chart for more information.

CellarPro Split wine cellar refrigeration systems offer a choice of wiring:

The Condensing unit can be electronically controlled by and wired to the Evaporator (single power source on the Evaporator side), or
The Condensing unit can be controlled by a Solenoid valve (dual power source, one each to the Evaporator and Condensing units.) The first choice (with electronic wiring) will allow the Condensing unit to be used in temperatures down to -20°F.

Features

The advanced evaporator unit uses a variable-speed centrifugal fan with three settings, including a “high” setting for maximum performance and a “low” setting for super-quiet operation. The evaporator should be mounted close to the ceiling inside the cellar.

Our high-performance condensing unit is designed to handle environments ranging from -20°F to 110°F. The condensing unit requires 12 inches of unobstructed space in front of the coils, and requires approx. 600-700 CFM of ventilation when installed in a confined space.

Upgrades

Remote Control Display Unit (10Ft.)

Using 18-guage low voltage wiring, you can now control your cooling unit from a more convinient location. If you need more than 10Ft of wiring don’t hesitate to call us at 888-373-6057. We can get you the length you need.

Compressor Heater

The compressor heater for cold temperatures is conveniently factory installed, and is used when exposing the unit to areas that may experience temperatures below 40°. The heater helps prevent the refridgerant from migrating into the crankcase oil causing excessive wear.

Fan Cycling Switch

All CellarPro wine cooling units will operate to a temperature of 40°F, but if you get colder temperatures, this factory installed switch is a must. It will allow the unit to be able to operate in tempratures up to -20°F.

Bottle Probe

Bottle probes are recommended when you want to duct your cooling unit, or the unit will be cooling bottles “around the corner”, or in an odd shaped cellar.

It includes a bottle stopper to measure the liquid temperature for a better temperature control.

Split System Line Set

Line sets are used in split systems to connect the evaporator and condensing units. These lines come in either a 1/2″ or 5/8″ ODS suction line, a 1/2″ seamless continuous insulation, and an 1/4″ ODS liquid line in a field installation package. We offer either a 25ft or 50 ft package, but they can be run up to 100 ft in length.

Outdoor Condenser Hood

This outdoor hood allows the condenser unit to be lifted off the ground to help prevent flooding, as well as a protective hood to protect against adverse weather conditions.

CellarPro Split wine cellar refrigeration systems offer two choices of electrical wiring:

Electronic Control

The Condensing unit can be electronically controlled by and wired to the Evaporator (single power source on the Evaporator side).

Valve Control (Typical)

The Condensing unit can be controlled by a Solenoid valve (dual power source, one each to the Evaporator and Condensing units). The first choice (with electronic wiring) will allow the Condensing unit to be used in temperatures down to -20°F.

Notes:

Line lengths are expressed in equivalent feet = actual run length + fitting allowances.
Use only dehydrated refrigeration service tubing and refrigeration-grade fittings.
Install refrigeration tubing in accordance with local codes and ASHRAE guidelines.

Returns & Exchanges: If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days for an exchange, refund or credit. To initiate a return, call us at 1.888.373.6057. Merchandise must be returned in new condition, upright and in its original packaging. Unless the wrong item was shipped, you are responsible for arranging the return shipment of the product, original shipping charges will not be refunded and a 25% restocking fee will be assessed.

We reserve the right to deny a full refund of the purchase price if the returned item is damaged or shows signs of wear and tear. If an item is returned with damage, the cost to repair or replace the item will be deducted from the refund. Therefore, we recommend insurance when you arrange for the return shipment of the product.

1800 QTL / QT / XT / XTS: For five years from the date of purchase, your CellarPro warranty covers all parts and labor to repair or replace any components in the wine cooling unit that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship.

1800 XT-220V: For two years from the date of purchase, your CellarPro warranty covers all parts and labor to repair or replace any components in the wine cooling unit that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship.

1800 XTSX, 3200 VSi/VSx, 4200 VSi/VSx: For five years from the date of purchase, your CellarPro warranty covers the internal compressor if it proves to be defective in materials or workmanship. In addition, for two years from the date of purchase, your CellarPro warranty covers all parts and labor to repair or replace any components the wine cooling unit that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship.

4200VSi / VSx – 220V/50Hz: For one year from the date of purchase, your CellarPro warranty covers all parts and labor to repair or replace any components the wine cooling unit that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship.

Split Systems: For five years from the date of purchase, your CellarPro warranty covers the internal compressor if it proves to be defective in materials or workmanship. In addition, for two years from the date of original delivery, your CellarPro warranty covers all parts and labor to repair or replace any components in the wine cooling unit that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship. The warranty will not be activated until the Support and Data Service Sheet has been completed and submitted to CellarPro. The warranty period starts from the time of purchase, regardless of the time of activation.

For all products covered by the terms of this warranty, CellarPro will repair or replace the original cooling unit with a new or refurbished cooling unit and, once replaced, the original cooling unit must be returned to CellarPro.

All service provided by CellarPro under the above warranty must be performed by CellarPro or a designated repair facility unless otherwise specified by CellarPro. Purchaser is responsible for shipping the wine cooling unit to and from CellarPro or to and from a designated repair facility, and for removing and reinstalling the wine cooling unit from the wine cellar.

The limited warranty applies only to wine cooling units purchased from the factory or an authorized dealer. Damage caused by others or by any cause beyond the control of CellarPro, shall not be considered defects in material or workmanship and are not covered by the warranty. The limited warranty does not cover any parts or labor to correct any defect caused by negligence, commercial use, accident, or improper use, maintenance, installation, service or repair.

THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED ABOVE FOR EACH WARRANTY ARE THE ONLY ONES, WHICH CELLARPRO WILL PROVIDE, EITHER UNDER THESE WARRANTIES OR UNDER ANY WARRANTY ARISING BY OPERATION OF LAW. CELLARPRO WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE BREACH OF THESE WARRANTIES OR ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other legal rights, which vary from state to state.
